QlikView Helps France Domaine Manage Government Property Policy

France Domaine, the property-management arm of France’s Directorate General of Public Finances, manages a government real-estate portfolio of about 200,000 buildings valued at over €100 billion. Facing fragmented Excel-based data from 100 local offices, tight deadlines, and requirements to align with the Chorus/SAP financial system and national environmental targets, the agency needed a reliable BI tool to consolidate large, diverse datasets and support modernised property-policy decisions.

France Domaine implemented QlikView in 2009, deploying decision apps for the OCAPI environmental audit and the SPSI occupancy strategy to more than 1,100 users. The nine-month rollout enabled analysis of millions of records (1.45M items for SPSI, broader deployments claiming up to 17M), supported audits of ~6,000 sites, met deadlines, handled bulk data and diverse formats, and delivered intuitive, visual reports—improving nationwide decision-making and prompting requests to extend the solution to other ministries.
