Case Study: Kanden Services Co. achieves company-wide efficiency and productivity with Qlik Sense

A Qlik Case Study

Preview of the Kanden Services Co. Case Study

Qlik Sense unifies analysis to promote efficiency and boost productivity

Kanden Services Co., Inc., part of the Kansai Electric Power Group, provides electrical services across about 90 locations in the Kansai region, including meter reading, inspections and utility-pole advertising. After Japan’s electricity retail deregulation intensified competition, the company needed a cultural shift from quality-only practices toward higher productivity and better cross-department collaboration, but data was siloed across divisions.

Working with KPMG Consulting and Business Brain Showa Ohta, Kanden deployed Qlik Sense company-wide (implemented in six months) to integrate disparate data, enable real-time sharing and replace ad-hoc Excel/PowerPoint workflows. The change delivered instant report creation via storytelling, improved visualization of advertising sites and fleet performance, reduced some month-long tasks to three days through RPA and automation, and accelerated decision-making (now using Qlik on two 100-inch monitors in monthly meetings).
