A Qlik Case Study
VodafoneZiggo, the 2016 merger of Vodafone and Ziggo serving the Dutch market with TV, broadband, fixed-line and mobile services, faced a complex legacy environment—dozens of tools, widespread Excel use and over 10,000 reports—that hindered its goal to become a data-driven organization. Leadership wanted better, more timely decision-making, improved customer experiences, controlled costs and higher sales, but needed a single, flexible solution to unite disparate data and drive user adoption across 8,000 employees.
The company rolled out Qlik Sense as its primary analytics platform, emphasizing self-service and building 140 apps used across finance, HR, sales, contact centers and more. Adoption surged (from about 800 to 1,700 active users and a reported >250% increase in user adoption in one year), delivering granular, relevant insights that enabled personalized offers, higher NPS and cost reductions; VodafoneZiggo plans further expansion to 3,000 users and broader integration of analytics into daily operations.
