Qlik platforms bring clarity and insight to billion-dollar defense acquisition programs

Integrated Data Services (IDS) is a longtime provider of requirements and program management software to the U.S. Department of Defense, best known for its CCaR™ and PMRT systems. Facing rapidly growing volumes of acquisition and spending data from diverse legacy systems—and strict DoD security and reporting requirements—IDS needed a way to standardize, integrate and visualize that data so decision-makers from program offices to the Pentagon could get timely, accurate insights.

By embedding Qlik Sense and Qlik Talend into CCaR and PMRT, IDS built secure data pipelines and self-service analytics that earned DoD Authority to Operate and were deployed across the Air Force, Army and other services. The solution processes millions of records, delivers real-time dashboards for billion-dollar portfolios, enabled rapid pandemic-era reporting, cut thousands of staff hours (about 1,000 hours saved each Acquisition Spring) and improved oversight and efficiency across acquisition programs.
