J.B. Hunt, one of North America’s largest transportation and logistics companies operating across the U.S., Canada and Mexico, needed real-time operational and asset insights without impacting production systems. Although it had implemented an Azure Databricks data lake, the company struggled to rapidly deliver analytics-ready data from disparate sources such as legacy mainframes and SQL Server.

Using Qlik Data Integration, J.B. Hunt streamed near real-time data into Delta Lake and automated data modeling and transformations for Azure Synapse, providing analytics-ready data to multiple user groups without a large data-engineering team. The solution cut application latency to minutes and enabled data scientists to power ML models that auto-generate competitive counterbids and support dynamic shipment pricing based on carrier availability and market conditions.
