Case Study: EDEKA achieves real-time logistics transparency and operational efficiency with Qlik

A Qlik Case Study

Preview of the EDEKA Case Study

Qlik creates transparency into logistics processes at regional EDEKA companies

EDEKA’s three regional companies (Minden‑Hanover, Southwest and North) that supply around 3,200 supermarkets needed clearer visibility into complex logistics processes. Operations were run across many systems (SAP, WAMAS, ATOSS, Mercareon, Trampas/Wanko) and relied on Excel-based analyses, so the business sought a way to pool disparate data, enable near‑real‑time provisioning, and provide easy graphical self-service analytics for operations and supply‑chain teams.

Working with Bison, EDEKA implemented Qlik Sense and Qlik NPrinting to automate data integration and deliver dashboards and scheduled reports to several hundred users. Data is refreshed every 15–30 minutes, enabling quick operational answers (goods receipts, picking status, transport times), site comparisons and KPI tracking; the result is greater transparency across the supply chain, faster decisions, reduced manual effort and widespread self‑service reporting with minimal training.
