Case Study: Province of Bolzano achieves agile, user-friendly analysis of complex provincial statistics with Qlik (QlikView)

A Qlik Case Study

Preview of the Bolzano Province Case Study

Province of Bolzano creates statistics with QlikView

The Office for Computing, Geography and Statistics of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano manages the province’s statistical and territorial information systems, serving about 6,000 workstations with ASTAT as its primary client. They needed a user‑friendly, agile analytics tool that could handle large, heterogeneous data sets without complex infrastructure while delivering fast, detailed statistical queries and presentations.

They deployed QlikView (Server 64‑bit) for roughly 170 users (about 70 Client and 100 Web users), enabling on‑the‑fly calculations, associative data compression and intuitive drag‑and‑drill analysis via the web or client tools. As a result, departments across government can autonomously analyze traffic, education grants, healthcare mobility, social services and more, gaining deeper, faster insights and broader access to provincial statistics.
