Preview of the Procurement Lincolnshire Case Study

Procurement Lincolnshire Saves £3 million in First Year with £24 million forecast over five years using QlikView

Procurement Lincolnshire is a shared service of eight UK local authorities that together manage more than £600 million in annual purchasing. Facing government-imposed budget cuts, the partnership needed a user‑friendly, enterprise‑wide spend analysis dashboard to make sense of around 2 million transaction lines from 37,000 suppliers across multiple financial systems and to embed data-driven procurement across the organisation.

They implemented QlikView as the front end for their LCAT spend‑analysis platform, giving users fast, self‑service drilldowns and customised reports. Analysis time fell from half a day to half an hour, enabling immediate insights that helped deliver £3 million in savings in year one, a forecasted £24 million over five years, and about £30,000 a year in reduced reporting costs, while improving procurement governance and decision‑making.
