Case Study: Piraeus Bank Group achieves near-real-time liquidity monitoring with QlikView (Qlik)

A Qlik Case Study

Preview of the Piraeus Bank Group Case Study

Piraeus Bank Group Uses QlikView To Monitor Liquidity In Near Real Time

Piraeus Bank Group, founded in 1916 and one of Greece’s largest lenders with operations across several countries, needed to better exploit terabytes of customer and transaction data to support marketing, branch reorganization and—critically—near‑real‑time liquidity monitoring during a period of volatile deposits. Executives wanted a fast, easy-to-use BI solution that would close the skills gap between IT and business users and provide a single, reliable view of performance.

The bank deployed QlikView to 670 users as both a business discovery platform and ETL tool, delivering the first application in six months and enabling hourly liquidity monitoring by combining intraday and historical data. The solution gave an integrated view of customer and KPI data, improved targeting and cross‑selling, reduced dependence on IT through self‑service analysis, and increased transparency and collaboration—helping Piraeus emerge stronger from the crisis.
