Pelephone Communications Deploys Qlikview To Improve Network Surveilance

Pelephone, Israel’s leading 3G mobile operator with 2.9 million subscribers, needed to improve network speed and reliability to meet high customer expectations in a competitive market. Its engineering team (75 engineers) relied on SAP BusinessObjects for analysis, but query times of up to 30 minutes made real‑time network surveillance and rapid fault resolution impossible, so the company sought a faster, more user‑driven BI solution.

Pelephone deployed QlikView to about 150 engineering users, replacing BusinessObjects for 90% of network monitoring tasks. The QlikView RBS application integrates with Google Maps, tracks 50 KPIs in near real time, pinpoints faulty antenna locations, and supports mobile verification by field technicians. The result: faster decision making and remediation, broader self‑service reporting, immediate visibility of fixes, and measurable improvements in service delivery, customer acquisition and retention.
