META, created by Kinetic (part of WPP), is a data consultancy that helps clients turn disparate business data into actionable insight. Faced with clients’ need for fast, highly visual analytics that go beyond spreadsheets and legacy BI tools, META required a flexible, scalable platform to aggregate multiple data sources and deliver self-service, near real-time analysis.

Using QlikView, META built the L2-R due-diligence application in just 10 working days, consolidating 57 million transactions from 35 sources across 500 pizza outlets. The analysis identified about 300 underperforming menu items and enabled the acquirer to realise US$500,000 in savings through menu rationalisation, while providing a reusable, low-cost platform for ongoing revenue and cost optimization.
