A Qlik Case Study
Mercedes‑Benz USA (MBUSA) operates a large, complex SAP landscape supporting multiple business units and millions of pricing records. With up to 20 concurrent development efforts, monthly QA refreshes were disruptive—taking systems offline for days, forcing developers to test in QA, and risking loss of custom test data—while also making it hard to recreate production issues due to the need to preserve number sequences and precise transactional data.
MBUSA implemented Attunity Gold Client (Client Construct, Data Echo and Data Snap) in about a week to enable targeted, self‑service data copies, preserve number sequences, and keep DEV in sync without full QA refreshes. The change cut refresh time from three days to two, halved the QA refresh team (4→2), saved roughly 25 man‑days per year, avoided building additional full QA systems, and sped troubleshooting by allowing exact production data to be reproduced in DEV/QA.
