Magasin, a Danish department-store group, needed a BI solution to get an overview of key logistics figures and optimise an enormous product flow of roughly 70,000 part numbers—from procurement and stock to minute-by-minute sales across departments. The challenge was to combine large data volumes and give non-technical users actionable insights to keep the right products on the shelves.
QlikTech delivered a pilot in under three days and a complete QlikView solution in about 3.5 months; 30–40 users from sales assistants to the CEO now use it. The intuitive, highly compressed solution required minimal training, ran on smaller servers, and produced a rapid payback—ROI in under a month—with first-year gains estimated at about 20× the investment, helping Magasin quickly optimise its product flow.
