Laureate Education Asia, the regional arm of Laureate International Universities serving multiple countries in the Asia Pacific, needed to speed up financial forecasting and improve reporting for its finance and sales teams. Using Oracle Hyperion as its primary data source, the five-person finance team spent up to seven hours preparing monthly comparative analyses and wanted self-service drill-downs, faster forecasts, and the ability for staff to archive and compare historical data without heavy IT involvement.

The organization deployed QlikView—reusing applications from Laureate Education Chile and working with partner Analytical Intelligence Solutions—which required minimal training and delivered aggregated, drillable views of financial, sales and enrollment data. As a result, analysis that once took up to seven hours now takes about 10–20 minutes with higher-quality insights, a cost-effective implementation, personal data-archiving on a dedicated server, and plans to extend use to mobile devices like iPads.
