Karl’s Mega Sports is a leading sports and surf retailer in Victoria, Australia, operating three mega stores. The business needed greater efficiency, accountability and control across the organisation—from point of sale through to financials, sales, customer loyalty, inventory and reporting—to improve buy decisions and performance monitoring.

The company deployed Markinson’s Shopkeeper for retail management with QlikView as the analytics and reporting interface, loading GL, sales and inventory data and structuring sales by department and product group. The QlikView app gave the CFO, GM and buyers immediate access to KPIs (gross profit %, location variance, effective sell-through), enabling fast rollout and training, greater transparency, time and cash‑flow savings from accurate buying, and simple monitoring of buyers (% GP) and store managers (individual P&L).
