Jaguar Land Rover delivers data ingestionas-a-service with Qlik Data Integration

Jaguar Land Rover, a global automaker selling over 425,000 vehicles in 127 countries in 2020, faced a complex, legacy-filled data landscape that made accessing critical, real-time information slow and manual. With data trapped across SAP, mainframes, manufacturing systems and hundreds of older applications, the company needed faster, reliable insights to respond to supply-chain disruptions, regulatory demands and the accelerating shift to electric vehicles.

JLR adopted DataOps, built a two-petabyte data lake and deployed Qlik Replicate for change-data-capture to feed multiple storage layers, enabling a push-button replication process that can be started in about 15 minutes. The result is an ingestion-as-a-service capability used across finance, IT, sales and supply chain—exposing SAP data to external sites, meeting regulatory SLAs (e.g., warranty recall and VAT reporting) in near real time—and positioning JLR to expand further across the Qlik Data Integration platform.
