Case Study: Sterling Computers achieves 90–95% forecast accuracy and deeper analytics with Qlik

A Qlik Case Study

Preview of the Sterling Computers Case Study

IT solutions provider leverages analytics to strengthen key industry partnerships

Sterling Computers, a long‑standing IT reseller serving federal, state and education customers from North Sioux City, SD, needed better analytics to sustain growth and deepen partner relationships. Although Salesforce was the company’s system of record, its limited reporting and archived data (after 12 months) made year‑over‑year analysis and strategic planning difficult, forcing manual spreadsheet work and constraining business development.

Working with Wipfli, Sterling deployed Qlik Sense (on‑premises then Qlik Sense SaaS) to connect, preserve and analyze historical Salesforce and transactional data. The solution automated reporting and forecasting (reaching about 90–95% accuracy), improved staffing, inventory and pricing decisions, increased revenue and margins, and enabled Sterling to share high‑value insights with partners to strengthen relationships and drive further growth.
