Intercontainer Austria (ICA), a leading Austrian container transport operator, needed better transparency and faster insight into capacity usage across its branches and customer segments. Relying on manual Excel pivot tables was slow, error-prone, and made ad-hoc queries and secure, up-to-date reporting difficult—hindering timely decisions on load factors and quantity shortfalls.

ICA deployed QlikView across four functions in five days, importing data from its ICA‑Neu system and using QlikView Server for secure, company-wide access; staff received training so they could extend the solution themselves. The result: automated data cleansing and higher data quality, instant analyses and ad-hoc reactions to shortfalls, standardized reports, and a reduction in monthly reporting time from five days to about three hours (90%+ time savings); a future SAP link is planned.
