Improved information enables Colombia’s National Cancer Institute to optimize critical processes and decision-making

The Instituto Nacional de Cancerología (INC), Colombia’s leading public cancer hospital, research and training center, needed to turn vast, fragmented data from SAP and other systems into actionable intelligence. Existing SAP reports lacked analytics, and staff relied on manual spreadsheets, slowing decision-making and hampering efforts to optimize diagnosis, capacity and patient access.

Working with partner GPStrategy, the INC implemented Qlik Sense to connect SAP and disparate sources without a dedicated data warehouse, delivering fast web‑based dashboards and on‑demand analysis. The solution produced consolidated, official data and real‑time metrics across 11 functional models, serving 25 direct users and 100+ report consumers, enabling identification of access barriers, supporting research and vastly speeding decisions that improve cancer care.
