AdventHealth, with Rachel Capan—a former pediatric oncology nurse turned Business Analyst Developer Senior—faced a gap: clinical teams relied on historical reports and manual processes that slowed decision-making and complicated infection prevention, safety, care management, and discharge planning across hospitals. Leadership wanted a single, operationally focused tool that put actionable patient information into frontline workflows in near real time.

Using Qlik, Capan developed Clinical Leader Dashboards that reload every five minutes and organize data into three focus areas (Infection Prevention, Safety & Quality, Care Management) with Main, Metrics, and Action tabs. The dashboards deliver pre-filtered, patient-level action lists and visual cues that eliminated manual tasks (e.g., telemetry tracking), supported a COVID-19 tracker, and scaled system-wide—driving faster, coordinated decisions, better stewardship, and measurable workflow and patient-care improvements.
