How Qlik Helped Us Bring Data Literacy Home

Qlik worked with organizations that were drowning in data but lacking the skills and structure to use it. Many clients faced poor data quality, fragmented dashboards, and low data literacy—problems that left teams asking “what happened?” instead of “why?” and blocked better decision-making (examples include a multi‑agency healthcare response project and the Dutch agency UWV).

Qlik’s approach combined technical centralization (Qlik Sense/QlikView, data‑quality reports and governance) with people‑focused steps (data evangelists, hands‑on training, proof‑of‑concepts and standards). The results were tangible: the Call To Balloon/Call To Needle healthcare work cut treatment delays by more than 20 minutes, and UWV grew from under 100 to ~3,000 users with 140 standardized, reusable dashboards—turning scattered data into actionable insights.
