Case Study: Honda achieves companywide data-driven decision-making and rapid reporting with Qlik

A Qlik Case Study

Preview of the Honda Case Study

Honda undergoes a digital transformation Thousands of employees now make business decisions based on Qlik data

Honda, a global automotive giant with more than 200,000 employees across hundreds of companies, faced a once‑in‑a‑century shift—electrification, autonomy and new service models—and needed to streamline operations and build a companywide data‑driven culture. Although it already had an integrated BI platform, Honda sought easier, faster analytics and visualization tools that let data scientists and business users gain clear insights without heavy IT dependence.

Honda implemented Qlik (initially QlikView, then Qlik Sense with partner Ashisuto), combined with training and integrations including IBM Watson for natural‑language analysis, to deliver self‑service, visualization‑first analytics. The outcome: thousands of Qlik users companywide, planning materials reduced from a month to one day, 50 reports condensed into a single sheet, lower production costs and markedly improved decision‑making and data literacy.
