Het Noorderpoort is the largest regional training center in the north of the Netherlands, operating 22 schools with ~17,500 students and 1,500 staff. Facing a sector-wide shift to greater transparency and accountability, the organization needed a BI solution that gave every employee role-based access to timely, detailed insights for controlling both results and underlying processes rather than relying on centralized reporting.

Het Noorderpoort implemented a centralized QlikView environment (developed with The Implementation Group) covering 12 thematic areas; a proof of concept for absence/presence was built in 2 days. The rollout delivered fast time-to-value (ROI under one month), boosted the student attendance fill rate from 60% to 90%, enabled forecasting and timely interventions, reduced ad hoc reporting requests to IT, and shifted decision-making to empowered teams—improving process control, educational quality and staff involvement.
