Helsingborg Hospital - Customer Case Study

Helsingborg Hospital is one of Sweden’s largest privatized emergency hospitals, with about 500 beds, 450,000 patient visits a year and ~3,500 employees. Facing the need to maintain regional leadership and high standards of care, the hospital struggled with fragmented data and poor-quality statistics across multiple systems that limited its ability to drive operational improvements.

The hospital deployed QlikView to roughly 265 users across five functions (executive, supply chain, clinical operations, finance and HR), rapidly building four applications in four weeks and linking over 1.5 million records from disparate systems. The rollout delivered €179,000 in annual cost savings and a 33% reduction in controllers, while enabling staff to cut patient waiting times, improve patient care and safety, analyze clinical/materials/finance data together, and plan a broader rollout to more than 3,000 users.
