Hella brings transparency to business data with QlikView

Hella Handel Austria GmbH, a wholesale supplier of automotive parts handling 45,000 active items, 900 customers and some 20,000 orders per month, struggled with fragmented data across DB2, Oracle, SAP and Lawson systems. Only a few specialists could produce reports, much work was done manually in Excel/Access, and reports to the parent company were inconsistent, prompting the need for a centralized, fast, and easy-to-use analytics solution to reduce manual effort and enable ad-hoc analysis.

Hella implemented QlikView in one week for 30 users, using QlikView Connector to free data from SAP and Lawson and QlikView Server/Publisher to manage large volumes. The in-memory platform delivered fast, flexible, self-service analyses across sales, inventory, finance and more, eliminated most programming needs, greatly cut manual processing, broadened usage across departments, and paid for itself in under a year.
