HealthSouth, a U.S. healthcare provider operating 100+ hospitals, faced the challenge of replacing paper reports and hand-keyed spreadsheets with timely, enterprise-wide analytics to support clinical, operational and financial decisions—especially around labor productivity, supply chain and patient satisfaction.

HealthSouth built a BI environment called “Beacon” on QlikView (installed March 2010), rolling out five applications in the first year and reaching 1,600 users across 103 hospitals. The Qlik solution delivered sub-second to <3s response times, reduced effort, standardized reporting and workflows, and drove measurable improvements in labor management, functional patient outcomes and consistency of care.
