Flipkart Improves Inventory Utilization with Qlikview

Flipkart, India’s largest B2B e-commerce platform founded in 2007, rapidly diversified beyond books into multiple product categories, driving massive growth and a complex network of warehouses and procurement operations. That scale produced disparate data sources and outstripped their open‑source BI tools, making it difficult to deliver timely, drill‑down analytics and optimize inventory across business units.

Flipkart deployed QlikView 11 to about 200 users (35 named), building applications that analyze roughly 25 million rows and delivering the first sales app in six weeks. The self‑service dashboards gave teams direct access to a single source of truth, sped decision‑making, reduced IT dependence and improved inventory utilization by 5%, while embedding a data‑driven culture across the company.
