Fleura Builds Knowledge Paradise Using Information From Qlikview

Fleura Export B.V., founded in 1970, is a leading Dutch flower importer and wholesaler with 46 branches, over 700 employees and about €200M in annual sales. Rapid growth across multiple countries and disparate IT systems left reporting fragmented—scores of Excel reports and an obsolete Oracle system—so Fleura sought a single BI solution to consolidate financials and operational buying‑subsidy data.

In Fall 2006 Fleura implemented QlikView, building three applications (financial, buying‑subsidies and HRM) that unified data into a central SQL Server and handle nearly 1 billion records. The deployment delivered fast, drill‑down analysis, eliminated manual Excel consolidation, enabled self‑service reporting for managers, sped up forecasting and delivered clearer operational insights, with plans to expand to POS and AR.
