Arch Systems, a Palo Alto–based electronics production specialist, helps manufacturers optimize complex factory-floor processes by collecting and analyzing data from legacy and modern equipment. Working with about 60 factories and ~10,000 machines and ingesting roughly a billion data points a day, the company needed a more dynamic, scalable and secure way to present increasingly complex analytical models to boost efficiency, uptime and product quality.

Arch integrated Qlik Sense into its domain-specific SaaS apps—leveraging embedded databases, high-speed in-app filtering and isolated tenant deployments—so expert users can quickly explore derived datasets and discover root causes. The deployment improved fault diagnosis and machine uptime, reduced defects and raised production output and quality, and provided strategic insights for capital investment and process planning.
