Beneva, one of Canada’s largest mutual insurers with over three million customers and C$13 billion in assets, faced fragmented systems and customer records across decades of product lines and a recent merger. The company needed to break down silos to create a unified 360° customer view, modernize to a cloud-ready analytics foundation, and enforce strict data confidentiality while delivering highly personalized customer experiences.

Beneva implemented Talend Data Services and Data Quality alongside Azure and Snowflake to build a governed master golden record using about 30 decision trees, 60 matching rules, and human-in-the-loop stewardship. The Data Vault 2.0 approach and reusable Talend frameworks enabled agile releases every three weeks, improving developer efficiency by 30%, cutting project times from months to weeks, tripling email campaign conversion rates, and delivering a unified portal and next‑best‑action marketing across the organization.
