Dunlop Hiflex Gains Insights From The Information Flow With QlikView

Dunlop Hiflex is a Finland-based distributor of high- and low-pressure hoses and fittings, serving thousands of customers through a central warehouse, 13 sales outlets and 70 distributors across Finland and Estonia, with over 30,000 active articles and roughly 1 million annual transactions. Although their Movex ERP stored extensive sales, purchase and inventory data, decentralized expertise and heavy reliance on IT-generated Excel reports created bottlenecks—slow, inconsistent access to the information needed for timely decisions and customer service.

Dunlop Hiflex deployed QlikView to about 50 users across sales, supply chain and finance, with applications live in eight weeks, and used QlikView Server and Publisher to handle the ERP’s large data volume. The self-service analytics eliminated repetitive IT requests, cut report times from a day to seconds, improved sales readiness and inventory optimization, reduced inventory costs, and boosted customer satisfaction and management reporting.
