Dienst Stadstoezicht is the Amsterdam public service that enforces parking policy and supervises public space to keep the city clean, safe and accessible. Facing fierce competition and working with seven disparate systems (parking permits, fines, time registration, finance, complaints, staff admin and contracts), the organization struggled to link data, answer questions about hours, invoicing and payment levels, and turn raw data into timely, actionable management information.
Stadstoezicht deployed QlikView—building 15 applications in about 15 weeks and rolling them out to 75 users—to integrate multiple data sources and deliver ready-to-use reports each morning. The solution simplified reporting and analysis, automated invoicing tasks, produced staff and administrative savings, improved competitiveness, and transformed the service into a city-wide knowledge and advice center with up-to-date insight into performance.
