A Qlik Case Study
DHBW Mannheim, a leading cooperative university in Baden-Württemberg, added a Digital Commerce Management course to equip retail-focused students for increasingly data-driven roles. The challenge was turning theoretical data topics into practical skills that meet the needs of both online and brick-and-mortar retailers and improve students’ readiness for the job market.
By joining the Qlik Academic Program in 2023 and using Qlik Sense in student research projects, DHBW gave learners hands-on experience building data models, dashboards and visualizations—with training and qualifications included. The result: lower barriers to working with data, improved data literacy evident in bachelor’s theses, expanded career opportunities for graduates and plans to integrate the program into more courses.
