Decision Making at Coface Ibérica Made Easier with QlikView

Coface Ibérica, the Spanish arm of global credit-insurance firm Coface, needed faster, clearer decision-making in 2006 to respond to economic uncertainty. The company wanted a local BI solution to monitor critical activities and KPIs, consolidate diverse data sources (databases and Excel), and reduce dependence on complex spreadsheets and IT support.

They selected QlikView for its rapid deployment, cost-effectiveness and ease of use, installing enterprise and server licences in two stages. QlikView centralised reporting and control frameworks for management, finance and claims, replaced time-consuming calculation sheets, improved monitoring of rates, premiums and claims, and delivered a unified, more controlled view that sped up decisions and was later extended to Portugal.
