IndianOil, India’s largest public-sector oil and gas company, needed to better leverage the growing volumes of data across its operations. Although it had used QlikView dashboards for executives since 2012, a review of its IT environment showed an opportunity to extend analytics beyond the boardroom to real-time operational and enterprise systems.

IndianOil modernized its analytics with Qlik Sense to ingest real-time data from pipelines, refineries and ERP systems, delivering active intelligence for predictive maintenance and process improvement. The initiative has helped detect fraud, optimize resource deployment, track customer behavior and improve operations, and the company is now exploring AI and machine-learning–assisted analytics to unlock further value.
