Crown Succeeds in New Business Discovery Quest with QlikView

Crown Worldwide Group is a Hong Kong–based global logistics and mobility company (founded 1965) with about 4,000 employees, more than 250 locations across 55 countries and roughly US$650M in annual revenue. The business relied on BusinessObjects and home-grown tools for BI, which required heavy IT effort, produced slow, inflexible reports (up to three weeks) and left branch managers without intuitive, near‑real‑time dashboards or easy P&L analysis.

With help from partner Velocity Business Solutions, Crown piloted and then rolled out QlikView—upgrading from the Small Business to Enterprise edition and adding Test Server, Publisher and PDF distribution—while bringing QlikView development in-house. The deployment (300–500 users) cut report lead times from weeks to minutes, reduced ad‑hoc IT requests, improved decision‑making at branch level and delivered faster, more actionable insights to support service quality and operational efficiency.
