Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences builds big data applications for smart agriculture with Qlik

The Agricultural Information Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), a national center for agricultural IT with over 5,000 professionals, needed to build big-data applications for smart agriculture that could ingest heterogeneous sources (government, commercial, IoT) and support advanced mapping, cleansing and interactive analysis. Existing BI tools were limited to static visuals, struggled with mass data performance and scalability, and couldn’t deliver the in-depth, fast insights CAAS required.

CAAS selected Qlik Sense for its association engine, in-memory computing, AI capabilities and scalable architecture, enabling embedded analytics and open-API integration.
