A Qlik Case Study
BITMARCK, the largest full-service IT provider for Germany’s statutory health insurers (about 1,400 employees, serving ~26 million people), needed to unify disparate data from IBM DB2, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Informix and other systems to support timely BI and analytics. Relying on nightly ETL and multiple replication tools caused overhead on mission‑critical systems, inconsistent models, and slow access to current data for financial forecasting, risk analysis and reporting.
BITMARCK standardized on a Microsoft SQL Server data warehouse and Qlik Replicate to automate live replication (processing ~5,000 tables) into a single model, enabling self-service, real‑time BI. The new solution delivers higher‑quality, up‑to‑date data (uploaded in under an hour), eliminates bespoke scripting, reduces time spent gathering and modeling data by up to 50%, and lets customers access reports and analytics without ongoing support.
