Berlin Recycling, a 100% subsidiary of BSR Berliner Stadtreinigungsbetriebe, collects and recycles paper, glass and industrial waste for about 40,000 private and trade clients with 300 employees and 100 vehicles. The company needed better corporate reporting and the ability to process large volumes of data for intelligent process management because the parent company’s SAP system didn’t deliver the analyses required for optimisation.

They implemented QlikView across operations, sales and management to map container locations and disposal cycles, identify high-density and profitable districts, and analyse client structure. Google Maps integration and a management cockpit using weighbridge-ticket data made processes transparent, supported optimisation plans, and improved disposal cycles, emptying rounds and overall reporting.
