Berenberg Bank Uses QlikView for Transparent Customer Relations

Berenberg Bank in Switzerland, a private-banking and asset-management arm managing roughly CHF 3.3 billion, needed faster, more flexible customer and portfolio analysis so advisors could answer questions about customer composition, new business, product income and profitability. Until then analysis was slow, error-prone and Excel-based, limiting visibility into customer relations and delaying month-end reporting by weeks.

Partnering with iNFORMATEC, the bank implemented QlikView in three days, integrating TCS BaNCS, Oracle/Access/Excel data into a shared data model and data warehouse. About 30 users now run daily, up-to-date analyses (100,000+ records/day), enabling next-day month-end reporting, clearer transparency into advisor performance and customer profitability, and a low-risk, scalable BI rollout with strong access controls and plans to extend into risk and credit reporting.
