A Qlik Case Study
Atlas Copco Construction Tools, a Stockholm-based maker of hydraulic, pneumatic and gasoline-powered breakers and drills with about $125M in revenue and 300 employees, needed to extend product leadership through continuous innovation and quality improvements. The company also faced the challenge of consolidating data from multiple disparate systems to improve the availability, speed and accuracy of business information.
Atlas Copco deployed QlikView to roughly 100 users across six functions in Sweden and Germany, implementing the solution in under four weeks and aggregating more than 5 million records from SAP, Movex, Saphir, BPCS, Hyperion, Lotus Notes, Excel and EDI. The project delivered rapid, cross-functional analytics and yielded €75,000 in annual IT cost savings (about $100,000), a payback period under nine months, and measurable improvements in product quality and delivery performance.
