Arbinet-thexchange, a global online exchange for buying and selling telecommunications capacity, struggled to get timely, granular insight into daily financial and operational performance. The company relied on end-of-month billing reports and complex Excel macros to estimate month-to-date revenue, pricing and minutes usage, leaving executives without the transactional visibility needed to identify where revenue was made or lost or to react quickly to market trends.

Arbinet deployed a QlikView enterprise application that integrated its proprietary transactions database with the Singl.eView billing OSS, consolidating millions of daily records into an analyzable dataset shared across finance, sales, operations, HR and executives. Within 12 weeks they gained near–real-time visibility into revenue by customer and product, minutes traded/routed/settled and pricing, cutting analysis time to near real time, improving forecasting and decision-making, and shortening response to business trends from up to 30 days to virtually immediate.
