AmBank Group, a leading Malaysian financial institution, faced fragmented and inconsistent data across multiple siloed systems, creating replication errors and limiting visibility for product innovation and customer insight. To address these challenges the bank launched Project Orion to build a single source of truth and improve data governance across core functions such as compliance, finance and sales.

AmBank deployed Qlik Talend ETL and Qlik Sense Client‑Managed to centralize data into a governed data lake, enforce data quality pipelines, and enable low‑code analytics and self‑service reporting. The initiative produced a single, accurate data source that reduced manual effort and errors, cut compliance turnaround from months to hours, improved trend analysis and dashboarding, and delivered richer customer insights to support personalization and better resource allocation.
