AGI tackles data science skills gap Students teach students in an innovative interpretation of the Qlik Academic Program

Anurag Group of Institutions (AGI), a large higher-education campus in Hyderabad, faced a growing skills gap in data analytics among its computer science students as industry demand soared. The Department of Computer Science sought ways to boost practical, job-ready skills and strengthen links with employers to improve student placement outcomes.

AGI integrated the Qlik Academic Program and launched a student-led Data Analytics Club where certified seniors teach peers using Qlik Sense, hands-on labs and real-world use cases to prepare students for the Qlik Sense Business Analyst Qualification. Results include an 85% pass rate in the second cohort (51 of 60), 92 total qualifications/certifications earned, demonstrable gains in student employability (14% of an earlier group secured jobs), and a stronger institutional reputation for producing industry-ready data analysts.
