African supply chain and logistics service provider uses Qlik to deliver insights by the truckload

Unitrans Supply Chain Solutions, a South African arm of the Unitrans Group, operates complex logistics, warehousing and freight services across Africa. Facing fragmented systems, intermittent connectivity and “heaps of underutilized” data, the company struggled with slow, manual reporting (taking up to two weeks) and limited customer visibility — barriers to delivering the added-value service clients expect.

Working with B2IT, Unitrans deployed a Qlik suite (QlikView, Qlik NPrinting and Qlik Sense) to ingest disparate sources, improve data hygiene and deliver internal and customer-facing dashboards. The rollout centralized reporting, halved month-end reporting time, freed staff for higher-value work, improved operational control (including faster asset verification) and gave clients real-time tracking and planning visibility, with company-wide adoption completed in about a year.
