ACI Consult gets traffic under control with QlikView

ACI Consult, part of the Automobile Club d’Italia group, develops traffic-control services including the ACITRAFF system that collects real-time data from roadside sensors and multiple networks. Faced with large volumes of heterogeneous sensor data, the company needed business intelligence that could rapidly aggregate, validate and analyze traffic patterns to support planning and operations.

Working with QlikView Italy partner Global Net, ACI Consult deployed QlikView’s in-memory associative platform and a custom interface plus QlikView Server to handle volume and performance. The solution delivers interactive, parameter-driven analysis (by time, vehicle type, speed, etc.), enables estimates of pollution and roadway wear, and has improved the speed and accuracy of traffic reporting and planning.
