Hapag-Lloyd, the global liner shipping company, needed better visibility into its two million containers and a more transparent, actionable way to manage shipment progress across a complex international network. Qlik implemented intuitive dashboards and visualizations that transformed billions of rows of container data into real-time and historical insights for around 7,000 employees. The result was improved operational transparency, faster proactive responses to delays, stronger planning and customer service, and the potential to cut individual inland container transport journeys by up to 50%, while also improving efficiency and sustainability.
