NHS Wales empowers budget holders with meaningful, accurate, and actionable data insights

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) needed to improve the speed, accuracy, and usefulness of finance, procurement, and warehouse reporting for budget holders. Its existing static reports were time-consuming to produce, hard to interpret, and often out of date. To address this, NHS Wales turned to Qlik and Qlik Cloud Analytics, along with a Budget Holders App, to deliver more meaningful data to stakeholders.

Qlik implemented a more dynamic reporting solution that put users’ own data directly into their hands, supported by Qlik’s Signature program and internal rollout efforts. The results were immediate: report generation dropped from days to less than an hour, monthly reporting moved from 10 days after month-end to 5, and reporting uptake nearly doubled, growing from 60 to 110 recipients.
