Case Study: Oxfordshire County Council achieves a single, trusted view to protect vulnerable children and families with Talend MDM

A Qlik Talend Case Study

Preview of the Oxfordshire County Council Case Study

Creating a safer world for vulnerable families and children

Oxfordshire County Council (OCC), the public authority serving roughly 600,000 residents, faced a critical challenge: data about children and families was fragmented across more than 400 systems, inconsistent and not trusted, so social workers and services could not get a single, timely view to spot early warning signs and protect vulnerable people.

OCC selected Talend (Data Integration, Data Quality and Talend MDM) with Talend Professional Services and partner IPL, training 100+ IT staff to implement a matching and clustering solution. Talend unified 400 systems, migrated millions of records (correcting about 10,000), and now presents a single web interface used by ~400 staff multiple times daily—enabling faster, trusted early intervention to protect children and families.
