A QGenda Case Study
The Ohio State University Department of Anesthesiology faced a labor-intensive compensation process for its 89 anesthesiologists, relying on paper and Excel files to track extra hours and manually enter MRNs with no time stamps, audit trail, or centralized data. These manual workflows led to technical errors, inaccurate pay calculations and physician overtime submitted up to six months in arrears. To address this, the department turned to QGenda and its Time Tracking and Compensation Management capabilities alongside QGenda’s automated provider scheduling solution.
In May 2016 Ohio State implemented QGenda’s compensation management to automate rules-based pay calculations, consolidate time and attendance, and generate payroll-ready exports with pre-populated medrec numbers. QGenda simplified workflows, eliminated paper records, reduced variable pay discrepancies, removed backlog issues, and established a consistent, auditable data warehouse—delivering faster, more accurate payroll processing and a measurable shift to efficient, secure compensation management.
